Laurence Stephen Lowry (1887-1976) RBA RA was an English artist whose drawings and paintings mainly depict Pendlebury, Greater Manchester as well as Salford and its vicinity in the UK. Lowry painted scenes of life in the industrial districts of North West England in the mid-20th century. This painting comes to us from a Florida estate with no certificate of authenticity but is strongly believed to be an original L.S. Lowry. "The Road to Town" shows a quaint village landscape road. Framed to the edge in stained oak
