DESK BY JENS RISOM (1916-2016)

An exquisite architect desk by renowned Mid-Century furniture designer Jens Risom. Made of walnut and cast steel with an angled surface. Restored to its original glory with two drawers and slide out shelves. 

Jens Risom (1916-2016) was one of the first designers to bring the traditional Scandinavian values of function and craftsmanship to the US. He was part of small vanguard that helped establish post-war America’s leadership role in the world of modern furniture design and manufacturing including helping to establish Knoll Furniture before he founded Jens Risom Design in 1946.
