The Sleepers explores an early and intimate experiment in observation and participation. Over eight days, Calle invited twenty-seven people to sleep in her bed, documenting them in photographs and text. Blurring art, voyeurism, and empathy, the project captures the beginnings of her lifelong exploration of intimacy, ritual, and human curiosity.
